RIM is apparently going to drop the Javelin codename for the BlackBerry 8900 and release the device under the Curve name. This is not entirely unexpected but it seems to be confirmed by CrackBerry in their latest podcast.

CrackBerry also says the new Curve will come with an Atomic trackball. The new trackball is said to be silky smooth.
